Another Wednesday, another song! :)
This video was my first performance of 2023. It was good to be singing again though it took me a little while to settle.
I wrote this song a couple of weeks before I performed it.
I wanted to sing this song because I knew if I didn’t, I wouldn’t get a chance to perform it until next Christmas! Thankfully the venue still had its Christmas decorations up, so it felt like it wasn’t too late hehe.
Unfortunately, I didn’t perform as well as I would have liked. I didn’t know the song inside out yet, and I was hot and flustered from the journey. I was playing second in the lineup, so I didn’t have much time to settle down before I was on stage. However, I got through it and learned from it.
This song is about spending your first Christmas on your own, and it hits you out of the blue in-between Christmas tasks such as sending cards and presents.
