Another Wednesday, another song. Woohoo! :D
This video is the first song in the seventh open mic I did, called Into a Lay-by.
This open mic was my first time performing with the guitalele with amplification. It wasn’t an ideal setup, and it didn’t capture the sound as well as we liked. I’ve looked into getting a clip-on pickup I can use in the future.
This song is the oldest one that I still sing. I wrote it the week I turned 16. It is about not knowing what direction you are going and life feeling so overwhelming that you fall into avoidance. (Pretty deep for a 16-year-old!)
It was great to perform this song, as I never got a chance back in the day!
